In startups with hardware components, there’s run-up time, long development trajectories and expensive prototyping involved. As YES!Delft has been in this sector for over 12 years, its proven programs and valuable ecosystem are matched with these difficulties. The programs are crafted so that validation of a market and validation of a product are a constant process, keeping customer engagement in mind always. As it is a non-profit organisation, they take zero equity.

Over the past 12 years, YES!Delft helped tech startups accelerate through different programs. YES!Delft gives aspiring entrepreneurs a taste of entrepreneurship in the Discovery Track, supports early stage startups find their market/product fit in a pre-acceleration program (Validation Lab) and enables later stage startups to accelerate (Accelerator Program).

1. Discovery track – designed for students, PhDs, recent graduates of less than 30 years who developed an innovative technology and want to discover entrepreneurship. During the Discovery Track candidates get a flavour of entrepreneurship, they meet like-minded entrepreneurial people and prepare to apply for Validation Lab. This program is not area-specific.

2. Validation lab - teams of at least 2 cofounders that want to validate their tech business idea and find a product/market fit. 3 months of validation with weekly peer-to-peer sessions and workshops. Candidates receive input and feedback from fellow participants, experienced trainers and personal mentors. The result will be a market/product fit, a validated customer segment and a value proposition design that responds to the actual needs of customers.

3. Accelerator program - startups of at least 2 cofounders who found their product/market fit and want to get to their first sales as fast as possible. It is 3 months of intensive work on getting the basics right, build entrepreneurial skills and plan for growth. Workshops from setting up a legal entity to masterclasses on sales and negotiations, YES!Delft supports candidates in becoming a true scalable innovative tech company.

According to their website, over the last 10 years YES!Delft has supported more than 200 startups, that collectively generated more than 300 million euros in investment and created more than 1,000 jobs.
